Longs Peak is the highest mountain in Colorado’s Rocky Mountain National Park, with an elevation of 14,255 ft. The first recorded sighting of this mountain was made by Stephen Long’s surveying expedition in 1820, and is named after the expedition leader.
This piece was commissioned by a Recorder Orchestra as a gift for a governor in Japan.
