The Fort Collins Bluegrass Band
Harmonious voices and engaging instrumentals are the signature sounds of the
Fort Collins Bluegrass Band. They are a traditionally based bluegrass band known for the variety, and vibrant energy of their performances. Their repertoire includes; bluegrass, old country and western roots with the stamp of their own unique arrangements….There are also several budding songwriters in the group.
The good-looking young man on the guitar is Jeremy Kimball. Playing a “Mighty Fine” fiddle is the musical veteran, Clarke Wright. The engaging and stylish banjo player is E.P. Davis. Playing the bright melodic mandolin is Susan Dailey and filling out the bands’ sound with an authoritative bass is Lonnie Jones.
Lonnie Jones has played in bands all of his life and worked for many years as a professional musician. Clarke Wright and E.P. Davis have played in bands since they were in high school. Together they have made seventeen Department of Defense USO Tours to entertain American troops around the world. E.P. Davis also has a radio show; “Steel Guitar Jam”, and can be heard on KRFC 88.9 on Thursday mornings at 6:30 AM. Susan Dailey has played in several Colorado regional bands and teaches mandolin at Front Range Community College. She is an artist, well-known regionally for painting the murals at Avogadro’s Number Restaurant in Fort Collins, a popular Bluegrass Music Venue. Jeremy Kimball, who became a guitar player in his early twenties, is a hard working carpenter, mountain climber and is the primary lead singer for the band.
